Icon6 AutoTechnic Gauges

what's up ya'll? so, i was just searching some sites for parts for my 08 Civic Si and came across these gauges....has anyone installed these on the ride?? if you have, did you need to take the clear plastic off the front to put them on, or what?? just curious..they look pretty tight

(bashers need not apply, i don't need anyone's opinion on whether this is ricey or not because i could care less...i only care about how it's installed and the degree of difficulty for us do-it-yourself-ers)

The tach is pretty easy to take out.... I just didn't know 02-08 gauge clusters were all the same.

02-08 clusters are NOT the same. Perhaps this gauge can be installed in both, however. But I'm not so sure about the practicality of it in a 06+

i'm starting to notice a few people with that avatar but with slightly different variations. I'm starting to think it's something you can do with the new forum.

OP- That is not the right gauge cluster for your Si.

Notice in the link you provided that the speedometer, tachometer, gas gauge, etc are all in the same cluster. On all 06+ Civics, there is a two tiered gauge setup. The top tier houses the speedo (which is digital), temp gauge, fuel gauge and shift light (Si). The lower tier is seperate and has the tach, along with all of the dummy lights and headlight indicators. The cluster in the link is for an earlier Honda. 02-05 and 06+ Civic clusters are very different.

No...the FN2 still has a two tiered gauge cluster. It's different than ours (and RHD), but it's still two tiered.

But, I'm thinking the picture is just for illustration only.....some websites do that with their products .....just put up a default picture of your product, rather than have to take a picture of each application

MAYBE...but

1) In that case, a disclaimer reading "actual product may not appear in photo" usually is visible.

2) Are you willing to buy a product from a sketchy online store, sight unseen? I know I'm not. I at least need an actual photo.

3) They list the cluster as being for an 02-08 Civic Si. In 06, the gauge cluster completely changed from it's previous (05 and earlier) setup. The cluster shown will fit an 02-05 Si.

4) I have not heard of any company producing anything to replace the 8th gen's cluster yet, because I don't believe anyone has.

But, I mean hey...you could buy it and then waste the money shipping it back for a refund!!!
