All right, so has enough juice to turn on lights and stereo.
Tried jumping it yesterday with some crappy cables to no avail. Will be trying with some better/thicker cables this afternoon.
When you turn the key all that happens is all the electrical turns on and you can hear the fuel pump priming.
Assuming the alternator, not the starter? Possible relays? Any ideas?

1998 Civic DX.
No recent mods besides the stock immobilizer nonsense being taken out because we were having these sort of issues.
Won't turn over, all that happens is electrical powers up, fuel pump sounds like its priming, but it doesn't pass this step. Have tried jumping twice to no avail.
Has a brand new battery, and we believe the alternator to work after me driving it home last week after getting a jump and it having full charge plus everything was receiving power where it should be.

When I brought it in last time they cleaned them up and made sure they were firm as well as removing that damn immobilizer.
Annoying.

Yeah thats our next plan. Just a PITA when work isn't over until 430, I'm 30 miles from any shops, and I can't get anyone to help me push start until after work. Hah.
i just had a buddy that had the same exact thing happen to him in his focus. lights, radio, everything turned on but when he tried to start it, it wouldn't do anything. even tried to jump start it with my truck still nothing. come to find out it was his starter now it's fine. thats why i think it's prob your starter, but who knows maybe wiring . you can pull the starter out and have someone like napa or kragen test it to see if it's good or not to i think

Have NOT checked that dash fuse. I can check that but I suspect it won't be it. Thanks!!
More tomorrow...
Do you have good connect to your battery to your starter? is your starter unplugged the plug ins on the back of them often fall off very often at least i does with mine.
you should try switching your battery with your friends. it happend to me, my stero was on and everything but i tried jumping it to start, did not work. so we took out my battery and switched it with my friends. and my car started. then we switched the batterry back while the car was on and let it recharged and i haven't had a problem since. i tried push start, didn't WORK EITHER =[ SO YEA iono if u want to try it. its up to you. gl
wiggle around you battery terminals. simple corrosion will only allow ample power to turn on lights, fuel pump, etc and now put enough power to the starter. look for a ground some where on the power wire to the starter and such. get a test light. easiest way to ever check anything. you can check power to fuses, starter, etc with a test light.
