Icon2 Worth getting good oil filter when im burning a qt of oil a tank?

valve stems / seals are bad so I burn a lot of oil - back of my car looks nasty from all the soot.

so its time for an oil change and the difference between generic and k&n oil filters is like 10 bucks - is it worth it in the condition my car is in?

I have just been using the cheapest Quaker state 10w-30 since I burn so much..

thanks

nah, not leaking at all, just burning.

that doesnt sound like the greatest advice tho - just just not change it.

I burn through about the same... I just use fram $3.50 oil filter and high mileage oil. Under $20 an oil change... I only do the change to hopefully keep it running til i can afford a swap. 210,000 miles :D
