I do know what the code means but do not know where to check first...

I was thinking it was the fuel filter or somethin..

Car just sputters at low RPMs due to the 43.

any wanna give me some ideas as to where to start?

um ould be your fuel pump not working properly or fuel injectors clogged

 

yup, I would test everything starting with the main relay, then injectors, then fuel pump. I assume you have replaced your fuel filter in the last 24,000 miles...
