Default plasti gauge

Has anyone ever used a plasti gauge to measure the crank? I need help on how to use it??

was he using old bearings in that tutorial or what? I know how to use plasti-gauge, but you use it for clearance reference to see if you need over sized bearings and so on. You dont go buy standard size though then plasti-gauge and see if you need to take them back for over sized do you? Do you just use the old ones that are in it (assuming you didnt have any knocking or premature wear)?

Check the codes on the block and crank, get a general idea of the bearing color. I ordered one set (upper and lower), my block used all black (i think, been awhile) main bearings. I plastigauged using new oem honda bearings.
From those readings, I determined the rest of the bearings I needed.
