The only reason I see for doing this is for a H22 swap since the H22 doesn't fit under a stock Civic hood. Other than that, ****ing retarded.

I saw some ****ed up EF at the local 7-11 with his hood "popped". I was like "damn bro thats sick how did you do that?'' Hes like "oh the car is a POS so I wanted to make it look JDM, so I put washers in between the bolts. You can get them at All-American!"

Also if you have kseries some mounts require that you prop the hood.

 

i used skate board truck bushings on my 240 due to intercooler piping rubbing, there the perfect size, and a real soft bushing so it keeps the vibration down too.
