Turbo Mini-Me: Compression too high, or is it possible (Safely)
If I don't end up getting a ZC for my upcoming CRX/HB, I am going to turbo the a6 and want to do a mini-me shortly down the road. I know the CR goes up when the y8 is swapped on, but will a thicker head gasket conteract this enough to run a Greddy kit (@~7psi) safely on it?
Any recommendations in order to get it to work, and has anyone done it b4?

It won't be a problem. there are turbo R's that are running that amount of boost and obviously have an even higher CR. It'll just give you a little more power
Make sure it's intercooled...

Ok, thanks guys.
Can anyone tell me what exact turbo that the Greddy kit uses? Is it the T3? I would think so since it spools low but lets off pretty low too not creating much boost.
What other turbo's will bolt directly on in place of the Greddy turbo? I'm thinking that after I intercool it that I might want to upgrade the turbo, and would be interested in the T3/T4 setup. Will they bolt right on to the Greddy manifold/DP?
