Default D16Z6 Hesitation

I got the D16Z6 Running and now under acceleration it hesitates like studders under 3000 rpm, i am running the Si dizzy and Si computer. I think i might just replace the fuel filter next, The plugs and wires are new.

your using the stock EF Si computer? if so,what injectors you using, you gotta use the D16A injectors for it to work right.

yea....I have the same annoying problem with my mini-me swap. Every now and then it studders below 3000rpms, usually under moderate to wide open throttle. I can't figure out what the hell is causing it. I'm running the D16A6 intake manifold with the D16A6 injectors.

When was the last time the plugs, and wires were changed... Are they the right plug wires for the new set-up. I used the ones off my A6 head, much too say, they did not fit all that well... hehehe

Check all the wires in the dist. for good clean connections. The wires/connections might have gotten upset, during fitmit with the head.

Pull the plugs and check their color, that should tell you if you have an overall lean condition. However, I "think" it has do more with ignition issues, like the above mentioned or the igniter, coil.... rather then fuel...

seems like all the z6 swaps have that hesitation @ around 3000. I had it too. Changed ECU's and it went away, something with the A6 ECU that causes it because I used an HF ecu and no problems with hes. and a 91 integ ECU with no hes either, ran great.
