Everytime i drive with the top up i hear this..not quite rattling but more like little buzzing from behind the passenger side on the soft top...i don't know if its the bracket holding the soft top or what..i can't figure it out...i got an 03 suzuka blue s. Anyone ever had this problem?

 

I think thats where the motor is, pull the fuse for the soft top and see if it stops

 

where's the fuse located? it didn't sound like the motor...i thought it sounded like a lose screw or something...

 

r u sure its coming from the passenger side seat??? i thought mine was too, but it was actually the strikers rattling... theres a DIY writeup on it... hope that helps...

the secret compartment....its not a secret cuz i found it the day i picked up the car! lol.anyways yeah the sounds from the passenger side on the back...or thats what i thought anyways... i'll look for that write up on here...whats a striker?

dude you're soooo off the topic! i checked out hardtop guy already and read what he said on the striker but thts not it...the noise is coming from the back... you know how there's bars holding the soft top? i think it might be one of the bar making the noise... i can't figure out which bar or why its making that noise either..

 

just a random point here, it's not the passenger seatbelt is it? often if it sites close to the bars or door, it can buzz.. - otherwise check all the bolts on the roof, and perhaps a bit of oil - sounds like somethings loose...

who's small and who's going to sleep in where? the secret compartment? lol yeh that's my extra bedroom lol. no its not the passenger's seatbelt either..i know what that sounds like.. i'm going to do what you said..check all the bolts and maybe a bit of oil might do it.. everytime my husband or my brother's in the passenger seat...they'd be like wth is that sound? lol i'm like ..uh listen so some music...WHAT ?? WHAT SOUND? I DON'T HEAR ANY SOUND.... lol so i figure i should try to figure it out lol it gets pretty annoying sometimes lol

 

ahh, could also be the elastic straps coming a bit slack, they can easily vibrate, and i think there is a replacement set of straps you can buy - possibly through ricks2k.com or similar - others will chime in for sure. The more i think about it, the more likely it may be..

 

if my passenger seat isnt touching the rear hoop thing it will vibrate against it...

 

i had the same problem with my ap2 also. its coming from the back of the passenger sides. i dont know where its coming also.

 

its probably coming from your imagination... i have the exact same car and it doesn't happen (03 suzuka) so thus, it is impossible for this buzzing noise to exist. if it were to exist i would say its the VTEC monkey under the valve cover, not the secret compartment one.

haha just kidding, try leaving your top SLIGHTLY higher than the all-the-way-top-down position. (put the top all the way down then hold the button for like 1 second) and see if it still rattles.

mooooaaahhhahahaha funny. so ...so far i haven't found an answer for this yet...and i'm not sure if i make myself clear but i'm talking about the buzzin noise when the top is UP... not down.. and it's coming from rear passenger area...please help out ... and i've checked all the things everyone said up top already and still hear the noise.

 

have someone ride in ur car while it buzzes and have them touch certain areas(sounds sexual) and if the buzzing stops, problem solved...
