So I just got my S366 ETT T3, 0.70 A/R and this thing is alot bigger than my previous T3/T67. What size wastegates are you guys using on this particular turbo? I currently have a tial 40mm but trying not to upgrade. Is an upgrade absolutely neccessary? Im using Ramhorn manifold, 3" downpipe, SK2 pro1 cams and Im shooting for 450-500 whp on pump gas. Would the 40 mm be enough to control the S366 at lower boost levels?

 

I doubt it will be enough to control at LOW boost levels however your waste gate placement plays a big part as well.

 

Its a fullrace ramhorn manifold and the placement is in their regular location (at front center of the collector)

 

i ran a single 44 on my fullrace t3 topmount with my 366, never had a single issue

 

A 40mm will work for those levels for over 500whp w/o any creep. It's been done for years for those that don't want to "upgrade"

depends on how low you want the boost to go and how well everything is flowing.

a single 44mm with the full race tear drop gate entry ramhorn and the same turbo with big exhaust housing.....there is some creep at low boost levels. totally manageable for sure though. this was on a car reving to about 10,500 or so

 

Well I got the sk2 pro 1 cams and the head is a ported type-r head so Im thinking 450-500 whp at roughly 15psi.
