rev limit should be 8200RPM.

What is the CEL on for?

You had it tuned, huh? Sounds more like you had someone burn you a chip with a few parameters changed. Tuning involves a wideband on a dyno.

It sounds like the chip is bad and it threw the ecu into limp mode. See if you can get a code out of it. If not, throw the stock P30 chip in it and see if it will rev. Its most likely your culprit.

Yea, that will last real long.

Do not rev it that high unless you are looking to purchase a new motor soon.

h22a stops making power at 6500ish rpms. my stock jdm p13 had a fuel cut at 7800 thats 2200 rpms of vtec if you hit the limiter mind you 1300 of those youre losing power.

only benefit to that 2200 rpms is you can shift and still be in vtec with rpms to spare.

it ran for a year before he got rid of it.. you two need to actually ride in one before trying to make judgements on them, I have experienced a ride in almost every honda motor, because me and my friends have at least one of each in our cars..

I've owned one for over a year and still have it, I think I have experienced it enough. And I have driven in different hondas with almost every honda motor. I will tell you there is no point to rev that high due to power lose and it will hurt a stock H22 in the end.

there was never a power loss with his.. we drove the hell out of it too.. he swapped it for a 93 Gsr though... I wish he would've kept it lol.. the guy that got it ended up going around a curve and the steering wheel came off... he wrapped it around a tree ...

Well you can't really 'tell' the power loss. It is there but it's hard to acknowledge because you are so into driving the **** out of it at the time.

But damn that sucks! How the hell did the steering wheel come off? Probably a cheap removable one.

something happened to the hub or something, and it was just his luck he was running like 70 around the curve, there wasn't anything he could do to save it.. he hit the tree and luckily he walked away from it, but it messed the car up and the motor was ok, just the alternator got busted off of it...
