........lately since the weather has been cold here in PA. I have a 94 accord 196 k on the clock and i noticed when it gets cold my idling is rough and the car vibrates( during idle)my assumption is the cold weather. My spark plugs are good ( haven't hit 30 k in miles to b replaced) my spark wires are good, distributor is good. Anyone have ideas why the car would idle rough. like i said i think it's the cold weather anyone else feel i am being ridiculous on this diagnosis. Any hints on anything esle i should check.

 

first things first ALWAYS on 90's hondas when idle is rough-Clean your IACV and EGR sensors. Search it, there are many write ups on how to clean correctly.

Then you can proceed to a new cap and rotor if you have never changed them.

...and i know this one sounds wack, but make sure your spark plugs are tight.
