D-series oil circulation question

D-series oil circulation question
I plan to build a block and i have both a d16z6 and a d16y7 block, I know the y7 has weaker oil circulation, if I use the z6 pump with a shim and port will it solve the circulation problem or is the problem or is within the block in the galleries.
