Default Replacing slip fittings w/threaded

I tapped all the holes on my intake manifold to accept threaded fittings so my vac lines don't blow off. How do I attatch to the MAP sensor (and stuff) though?

You have problems with your vacuum lines blowing off? And why would a vacuum line blow off? There would be no positive pressure in it because it is a vacuum line.

for you ... do you think that positive pressure is so smart that it will not travel thru vacuum lines because it knows they are called vacuum lines?

As for the original question, I'm not exactly sure what you did....pics?

Derek is a moron.

I drilled out the little copper tubes that the vac line slipped on and tapped the hole. Then I threaded in a compression fitting and attached the vac line. But I don't want to drill into the MAP sensor body-so how do I put a compression fitting on it?

did you previously try zipties around the vacuum lines to secure them to the factory slip fittings? i don't know of anyone who has done that & still had a problem of lines blowing off...

try some plastic weld on the nipple, and create a bead around the end. Then zip tie it, it won't blow off

My way looks way more cooler though. Damn, guess I'll have to think for myself.
