These wheels belong on 80s-90s cars.

 

The only thing worse than how they look is how much kids overpay for them.

 

I wouldn't exactly say it's exagerating on the price. Simple supply and demand. I won't lie, if I had a set I'd want to get some profit back, nothing to the extent of ripping someone off, but something.Personally though, I'd much rather pay for a set of to my specs then a set of Mugen's. I've always liked BBS's, I have one set in mind that I may want, but am thinking about it.

 

I REALLY like BBSs... I do not see many new cars that have them.. or pull them off well for that matter. But I will say they do not just look good on old school Dubs....seen some Hondas rockin them.....if you got em post em. I would like to see.

I don't think there are to many Honda's with color-matched BBS wheels..I've seen a few with custom color's but not paint matched.

 

People overpay just as much for old japanese wheels. $1500 M7's, Superfins for a grand or more...its the same phaking thing.

Wait...ru kidding? M7's are fairly new mugen gen wheels. And you can find superfins for well under $5-600. Its the centercaps for SSR wheels that jack up the price. Just like CF48's, a set without the centercaps and aero disc might go for $3-400 bucks. But put them together and they can range from $12-1500 bucks.

 

I have owned several sets of BBS lemans, a set of RGR's a set of CH; one of my sets of LM's bit a curb dead on at 65mph, and still held a bead with the tire; I replaced the lip, and put it back on the car.

BBS wheels are strong, and offer styling that stays relevant a decade after they were produced - pretty much any car, slammed on BBS LM's, will look fantastic.

Comparing these to rotas, ssr's, m7's?

Exactly, you just proved my point.....$1200-$1500 for old Japanese wheels..
And the M7's? I'm not tryin to get into a stupid honda-tech argument about which wheel is older, generation, etc, blah, blah, blah. Im just saying people overpay for old school wheels these days because its just how it is(bandwagon, meets, hardparking, internet fame, etc). BBS, Mugen, _____________(fill in the blank) doesnt matter...Eveyone overpays for old school ****.
