Question for you "Team Teal" Guys - Separate the Die-Hards from the Fair Weathers...
Okay so I see a lot of "Team Teal" guys posting their Teal pride all the time, but I've got a dead serious question for you guys:
If you were spending the amount of money and tine it takes to have the entire car repainted, inside and out, would you actually KEEP teal, or would you go with another color?
My own personal opinion of the teal is that a lot of guys looking for a hatch could not find the color they wanted, found a good deal on the Teal, and jumped on it with hopes of maybe one day changing colors. I'm not trying to offend anyone with a teal hatch, or anyone who likes the teal color. This is just the impression I've gotten from most every guy I've ran into with the teal.
"I'm about to do a full color change..."
Or
"I couldn't find any other color bro..."
That's the common answer I've heard.
Did any of you guys actually seek out Teal and even turn down colors such as Harvard Blue, Captiva Blue, Milano Red, Granada Black, Frost white, etc. in favor of Tahitian Green, Paradise Blue/Green Pearl, or Aztec Green?

i just gota teal hatch, and the only reason is cuz it was the only fairly prices clean hatch i could find. i like the color, its different from red, black, and white that everyone has. but if it comes time to paint it, it will be a color change to probably captiva blue.

The Integra looks like Paradise Blue/Green Pearl, which isn't as common as the Tahitian/Aztec greens found on the 92-95 Civics.

You are talking about this teal right?
well when I got my car, I actually bought 2 94 civic coupes. The first one was red, autmatic and non-si...and mine which is teal, 5-spd and si.
I could have take then red one and did the conversion later on for the tranny and whatnot and it did have a nicer body...but I don't mind the color so I just went with what had the better engine.
The color isn't too bad, but it's just how you work with it.

Re: Question for you "Team Teal" Guys - Separate the Die-Hards from the Fair Weathers
Good thread. It's old but it got me thinking a little bit so I had to post...
I have a specific memory of when I was a little kid and my mom asked me what color car I'd like to have when I grew up. I said "green" and she told me that was a stupid color for a car. I suppose many people would agree with that...you don't see too many green cars out there. Well dammit, I like green. I love nature, I have green eyes, green is fo' the money, cannabis is green, etc...
Also, when it comes to Hondas, it seems the greens are special colors. My favorite green Honda green is Midori Green...probably second place though is Aztec Green Pearl. The only teal EH3 was the '93...
^My homie's old car. Pretty rare...I've only seen a few other teal EH3's around, and that was probably one of the nicest ones in existence, it was MINT.
After it was stolen I knew I had to get teal back into my life, and I knew I wanted an EF hatch. The ONLY EF's I was willing to buy were either a black or white '89 Si, or a teal '91 Si. I love Tahitian Green Pearl (in a different way than Aztec), and I like how on the '91 Si, the mirrors are body colored--this was only offered on the '91's (in the US at least). This reminded me of the teal EH3...the EH3 is special for body-colored mirrors. Sappy I know, but teal mirrors ftw.
Anyway, I'm happy with my tealy, and yes, I bought it and love it because it's teal
teal interior!!
If I were repainting this car inside and out...the only colors I would go with are teal/green. Either Midori Green, Aztec Green Pearl, or perhaps that trippy blue/green color from the new Scion xB.

Re: Question for you "Team Teal" Guys - Separate the Die-Hards from the Fair Weathers
I only ended up with teal on my old civic coupe because I couldnt find anything else... i searched for 2 months and finally gave in. after building the car I couldnt stand the fact that it was teal and wished I had waited another 2 months just to get a different color...
I actually liked the color on my DB though...
