basically, it trys to explain why the lines that come with the autometer gauge causes inaccuracy in the boost gauge.

i only noticed the lag after the turbo. when i was n/a and had the gauge it was that fast.

 

The way I see it....

If you have lag with a small line, its probably because you are running a fairly soft hose and have a pinch somewhere causing a pressure loss in the line somewhere. With my engineering degree, I would think that a larger line would give worse lag, since you have to wait for the air to compress or decompress, the more air that has to change pressure in the line before the gauge, the worse the lag you can have.

Is there a hose size problem, or is the line not routed properly, or is the line getting pinched somewhere. My guess would be a smaller line would give better response to a gauge than a larger one.

It is like turbo lag when you add extra piping...

 

Don't forget that after the turbo, it will take longer for the air to enter the engine 'cause its got to go through the turbine, not just the filter. This will most definitely cause a lag in the gauge reading
