wassup peeps! i was wondering what should be the right reading on the water temperature when the engine is running for a while

i will usally see baout 195-215F sitting still for awhile..
is the guage electric?? if so i see about the mark after 180-through to the mark after 210..

yup its a electric guage and im seeing 225f.. is this safe?

 

I got a dx with minimal stuff on this engine(gsr going in a week),mine is electric and reads about 150-165 driving around,stopped at a really long stoplight it goes up to 195,never any higher than that though.My friends b16a reads like 180 all the time, your temp seems a little high.

 

that could be true, but, my boys 99 SI goes up to about 180-210 all the time and even 225 sometimes when he is sitting still.
it sounds like to me you thermostat is stuck open,since your temps are so low.
a factory honda fan doesnt even cut on until 205-210 degrees..
