Default Best turbo for 400whp and driveability?

I'm looking to take suggestions as far as which turbo I should consider building around for the D16. My goal is no less than 400whp, this on a built D16Z6 (GE sleeves, Crower rods, JE pistons, 77mm bore- 1.7L displacement) with lots of headwork as well. I'd probably be reving to around 7500rpm and this will all be tuned via Hondata 4B. So which turbo do you think would deliver a decent amount of drivability and still cough up the 400+whp I'm asking? I was thinking T3/T04E w/ .48 A/R as reccomended by somebody a while ago, but I wanted to refresh my head before I start taking action here

Sounds good to me, but call Majestic Turbo.

i dont think a .48 a/r exhaust housing can support that kind of horsepower. i would consider at least a .63.

400+whp on a d16 with 77mm pistons and a .48AR t3/t4 aint gonna happen - your gonna have to use something bigger on the front side...

If you're looking for at LEAST 400whp.. I'd say go with a 57trim stage 3 wheel and .63 exhaust housing, or even a 60 trim. I wouldn't even consider running anything smaller than a .63 exhaust housing. You should be able to hit 400 with that turbo. Also.. I'm gonna bet that you're going to make good power past 7500 so you might want to plan to rev higher than that (valvesprings, etc.). That's alot of power for a sohc motor.. Good luck.

naah,by 7500 the Sohc is losing power,no matter what size turbo its got,the head just dont have the flow, check out the last guy on this link, james,he's using a straight T4 and his power dropping off after 7500

It makes decent power out to 8k, but the torque curve really sucks.. Wonder why.. The last guy on the link is a non-vtec motor, maybe that could affect it.

Either way.. I still don't understand why people still try to push the d16z6/y8 to its limits.. At 25+ psi w/ a fully worked motor they can only squeeze out a little over 400whp. Yeah, that's alot of power, but a fully worked b-motor will easily make that same hp at about a bar, plus you can have much better gearing for the track..

I am not looking to make 400whp, but looking into a sohc turbo project.
Setup is simliar to VTC_Civic's, all thing being the block may only be bored to 1.7L *if i decide to get is sleeved* , etc.. same redline..

Looking at the most 15psi intercooled and 10psi for daily use.
After doing the math (used displacement for 1.6L) for the flow rates at those boost levels.
A T3 Super 60 looking like the best option.
I called Turbonetics and they sugguested to go with the following specs:

T3 super 60 w stage 1 Turbine and .63 a/r exhaust housing.

What do you guys say?? I have yet call other places and from what I have read some people have poor luck with Turbonetics turbo's. I am gonna call a few other places and get a price a on Garret T3 super 60.
