my freakin car wont start!!!
this morning when i got in my car to go to work it didnt want to start. i replaced the bat, checked the starter, alternator. So im thinking its the ign. switch but i dont know how to tell if its still good or not and i dont want to buy one from the dealer and that not be the probelm. i also checked the black/white wire at the switch and still nothing..... everything in the dash and cluster still lights up and the ecu isnt throwing any codes.
SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A TIP ON WHAT IT MIGHT BE???

update: i jumepd the starter while it was still attached to the car and all it did was spin, the enngine didnt turn over at all, so im thinking that maybe the starter went out. maybe the sprocket in the starter isnt shoothing out to the fly wheel.

And being as there is no click check the wiring to your starter it maybe bad, bad or lose connection do some retarded things and its not the fuel if there is no click buddy
has to be the starter. the starter only spins when the coil on the inside lets it know that the starter is against the flywheel..something is taking that signal and tellin the starter that its pushed against it so it spins. so yes i bet its the starter.
if you only jump the motor it should just spin. you would need to jump the solenoid and the motor for it to turn the engine. if you're fuel pump primes when key is turned to on the relay should be okay. maybe try the neutral safety switch, if its bad then the starter wont turn.

He's giving the solenoid power(which creates the ground for the starter motor) but its not kicking the pinion out, only spinning the motor.
It's the starter. Replace it. :D
If so, learn before you speak.
There is no "signal" when the starter 'hits' the flywheel, especially since it shouldnt be hitting the flywheel. That would mean the solenoid is working but the motor is not.
well the starter is pushed out my a "fork" and when its all the way out it completes the circuit that makes it spin. so yes it is the starter. I didnt mean when it hit the flywheel i really jsut meant when it was all the way out. the signal is when the fork completes the circuit. sorry for the people that cant understand my thinking.

To the OP, just get a new starter. :D
