Icon7 What to do for Power?

Current Setup:
-JDM B18c1
-Stock Interntals
-Skunk2 Pro-Series intake manifold/68mm throttle body
-Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
-AEM Fuel Rail/Pressure Regulator
-Stock Injectors
-NGK Plugs/Wires
-Hytech Stainless Header
-Skunk2 2.5' Exhaust
-Forgot brand on radiator....
-Suspension is all done

The question is what to do for more power. I have a little over 2k to work with, and I'm trying to decide i want to do a turbo build or build up the motor to make some more power. I dont have much experience with FI so I'm not sure what kind of turbo build I can get for 2k. Any input would be great. Thanks!

I would keep the HyTech header and either:

1. Get an ITR tranny
2. Buy a JDM 4.785:1 final drive and get a nice set of cams and springs/retainers.
3. Build the block with new pistons, rods and bearings.
4. Or piece together a turbo kit then sell the header and get some of your money back. But in case you ever wanted to go NA again you might want to keep it.

I was thinking i wanted to keep it NA. I just didnt know about a turbo. But I'm thinking about itr pistons, crover stage 2 cams, crower springs and retainers, and possibly new rods

wow go n/a get cams, etc head job would be fine. block job with head job would be better. but you get more hp from the head from my opinion.

Crower Stage 2 is probably a great cam and I know that the Skunk2 Pro Series cams are also great. That's a good idea to get ITR pistons and rods to make good use of bigger cams.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're the same as GSR rods though, from what I've read anyway. Forged rods will be stronger of course, although slightly heavier, but if this were my build I would go with OEM. Try to get JDM ITR pistons instead of USDM because there is more dome. Since the GSR head's combustion chamber is smaller than the ITR's, these pistons should put your compression ratio at around 11.6:1. Buy a 2-layer head gasket (Mugen or Spoon) and you'll be pretty close to 12. www.zealautowerks.com

A friend of mine has an ITR with a stock B18C5 with I/H/E and put down 191whp and ran a 14.2 on street tires! But it's because his engine was healthy and broken in properly, take that into consideration.

So a from this thread so far im thinking JDM roads and pistons. crower skunk2 cams & valvesprings, spoon head gasket, and skunk2 cam gears. That sound good?

a cam is ur best bet, u can go 190 on a d block before you really have to start spending money my builder just finished a d series he said my motor was stronger all motor, but his was 140 built without the turbo with the turbo he said it pushed 320 thats nuts work some overtime and spool up

first of all think which route you want to go NA or turbo then start from the block so you can a solid piece that can handle the power you throw at it.
