I need a diy for an LED gauge cluster!
i have a 96 accord lx. does anyone know of a good diy write up for making an LED gauge cluster? i need step by step instructions with a list of what size LEDs/bulbs i would need. i have searched and searched and can not find anything.
You just got schooled by a damn 09.
There's no way you actually searched.
i dont want one of those kits. i just want to replace the stock bulbs with wide angle light distribution LEDs. the muffin man - think you could help me out? i can only find the diys for the civics and integras, none for the accord. thanks man.
They are in fact all the same.
That website shows you how to remove the cluster and install the LED's. If you're overly concerned about it being too focused carefully sand the top of the LED down a bit. By "wide angle light distribution LEDs" I'm not sure what you mean since they really don't exist without some extra cover/shield on them to spread the light.

so i found out that the three main bulbs that backlight the gauges are 194. and it looks easy as cake. does anyone know what size bulbs the heater controls, and buttons (defrost, hazards) take???
Go back and check led automotive it shows a picture of what they look like you need to solder if your going to do it your self and if you look on their website they have the leds you need. not sure of the exact ones? email them.
The single leds are under miscellaneous section.
Edit: they have 2 different wide angle bulbs the HP lights and the radical ones. The HP ones produce much brighter light than the HP ones ive tried both in my prelude.
I also have some of their normal LEDS on my 01 accord they are all quality product.

Those are actually 5 surface mount LED's on a single thing. So they're kinda being tricky about the description lol. It's just shooting light in 5 different directions.
Here is a civic gauge conversion cluster with pics.

so how many 194 bulbs and how many 74 bulbs do i need to do the back lighting of the gauges, climate control, and the shifter? if someone could tell me this that would be awesome so that i dont have to disassemble it to find out.
