so a buddy of mine has an 01 prelude and his tranny went out on it so we bought a new/used one...

my question/concer is after we mounted the trans to the block(yes it did fit perfectly) i notice on the new tranny it has a few more bolt holes and some sort of cooling system on it that were not farmiliar with. can anybody help me identify why this trans would be different?!?!

any help is appreciated... TIA

What is the Model Number for the Trans?

Did you buy an ATTS (Type SH) Transmission?

 

there isn't any cooling stuff on an SH tranny, they look pretty much identical to normal transmissions

If you're referring to me regarding the SH Trans and cooling, I wasn't trying to imply that the SH Trans had cooling. But that maybe, possibly, they are mistaken and it's the ATTS Unit and not cooling related..

Yes OP, please give the Transmission Code, that'll tell what it is.

Pictures of what you're describing would help also.
