after many many months of waiting finally got a tig for our shop
Miller Dialarc 250 HF ac/dc
thing is stupidly clean, came out of a delphi tool room.
also got a bernard 3500ss torch cooler with it, as well as a new foot pedal from miller
couple photos

i've layed down af ew beads on some practice material, but my iphone takes really shitty photos under our shop lights, so i'll try to get my good camera out and snap some photos

thanks
everyone keeps asking me why i didnt get an inverter or somthing of the like
i prefer the old machines, they are total tanks and bulletproof, not to mention cheap to fix
i've seen too many inverters nuke boards where its cheaper to get a new welder
its rated to output 310 amps, but 155 is 100% duty cycle, which is about right for the work i have to do
the biggest pita for me is getting used to how small the water cooled torch is, im used to massive air cooled's

yea, dont have pics of the cooler
the only problem is the output on the pump is right hand thread and im having a bitch of a time finding a rh to lh adapter
the guy that brought the welder down forgot it
and everyone always bitches about how the dialarcs arent great for welding aluminum yet i have no issues??
i guess they are just spoiled by the adjustability of newer welders
these are 80's early 90's welders
i believe according to serial its a 92 model, as when i enter the serial it gives me a 92 manual on millers site

im just trying to pick the habit back up since theres fab demand now. its like riding a bike though
teaching everyone else to weld at the shop makes me lol... alot
im gonna pull a photo or 2 off of my iphone and se what they look like

FOr future reference the part number for the 1/4NPT to 5/8-18LH adapter is:
Western enterprises Part number AW-15
or ITW 3066
The part isn't listed here, but your local welding shop can probably get it.

are you talking about the feed from the pump? That is the one you need for the outlet from the pump to the torch.
Now if you are talking about the return line from the torch to the pump you will need the lug adapter.
Look here at the owners manual for the WP torch:
http://www.weldcraft.com/pdfs/o225425a_multi.pdf
On the parts diagram on page you see parts 11 and 14. 11 is the outlet for the torch. It screws into 14. On the backside of 14 you need a 5/8 fitting crimped onto a new hose. The local welding shop can do that for you. The other end of that water return hose goes into the cooler return line.
You should have two lines coming from your pump and one line going into the cooler. One is the pump feed from the reservoir, then the pressure outlet to the torch and the a return line from the welder to the cooler. I will get you a pic this weekend if need be.
My pump pressure outlet fitting is on order.
The part your talking about is listed here also:
http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...2e9c8a3bbca8c6
It list the adapter that is included with their coolers.
