reverse lights not working help?

i recently bought my 91 civic dx and the reverse lights don't work. aside from the fact that its an ef, whats the problem here? how can i fix it?

Are the two wires on the transmission hooked up?? Good Luck...

check the harness going to the reverse lights in the trunk

connectors sometime build up corrosion and cause them to stop working
