42r's were the thing about a year ago... now it seems the Borg Warner S372 has taken its place.

Either the 42r or the S372 is the popular turbo.. I think you can buy 1.5 of the S372's for the price of the 42r though..

First of all, nice quote

As for your turbo choice, there's really no question about which of two is going to make more power. The S372R is going to make more power than the Garrett equivalent 42R. The compressor wheel is larger and with the ETT technology, you're going to continue to have cooler air charges even at high PR's. This is the turbo that got Tony Palo into the 8's

"spool" at this point should also not even be much of a concern, considering the relative small displacement of our engines and the size volume of air that this turbo is designed to move for the purpose of drag racing.

Like I said, precision offers a 72mm 42r equivalent for the guys looking for a great turbo. I Have 2 of them in stock ready to ship so please dont go into how they are not readily avaialable.

Check out the search engine for Borg-Warner's Extended tip technology, as well as google. It will explain the advantages.
