my cousin's 03 ep has a bad head gasket. When I took off the valve cover and set the crank to tdc #1, the marks on the cams dont line up there about 2 teeth off.When i set the cams to line up, the crank moves off, also there are supposed to be colered links on the chain but i dont see any. Has anybody had this problems? Thanks for any help.

 

So you haven't taken anything apart yet your just checking timing? Could be a stretched chain but two full teeth is a big stretch.
