how do you weld off something? do you mean cut off? why would you ruin a good exhaust? you wouldnt gain any power, you would probably lose some.

How does replacing an exhaust tip change the sound of an exhaust?

Please do tell.

An aftermarket exhaust gives you what 5whp, can you even feel that?
I doubt you'll notice a loss that you will be even able to feel.

but my thing is by only cuting a "tip" off an RSR exhaust and welding on a oem "tip" the sound should change... it shouldnt be the same... i think that it would sound like a ricer... thats all... just my personal option.. my .02....

not to mention restrick the flow...

you think the distancefrom the beginning of the tip to the end of the tip is going to change the sound? after passing from the header, to the cat throught the resonators and then the muffler, the last 6 inches is going to make the difference???????

You really have no idea how an exhaust system works.
