88 sedan its a friends and it was running fine till he bought a new car and let it sit for a couple months without starting it (i already hit him a good one) and now we replaced the plugs wires and battery and it got the starter checked at autozone they say its fine but when we try to start it it wont even turn the crank to turn over i checked the wiring for the most part of wat i can understand and ive ran outa ideas and the cap and rotor look brand new

 

starter signal wire - check it - check your grounds -

 

the starter is hooked up right
grounds are brand new still wont even crank... the starter spins but wont crank

 

so the starter spins but it doesn't try to fire?

check for spark

if you hadn't taken it off I would say remove and reinstall the starter - because if it spins but nothing cranks it sounds like it wouldn't be catching

 

i did remove it but maybe i didnt connect it right i'll double check it tomorrow and repost and i checked for spark when he had the old plugs on and you could see a lil spark but those were nearly gone

 

starter is in right and i have spark it seems weak though maybe the rotor?
