Default Prevent rust on wheelwells

Should I remove the rubber piece underneath the wheelwell to prevent rust? Has anybody done that?

yes on my 97 integra i removed the liner on the rear wheel wells and it worked good....
that liner holds in water..

I bought mine with no rust, and now it has a little.. That was only about a year and a half ago. Im pissed. anyways, I'd def. take it out. nothing to lose.

Previous owners kept it on but it was never winter driven, when I got my car. The first thing I did was remove it.

I removed mine. I have 225 45R16 in the summer and they rub the strip.

The rubber trim is on the lip of the rear wheel well. Simply pull it off.
