well iv come to conclude that the ignition is stuck in the auxiliary position. T the car runs with no key in the ignition, Somehow the last time idrove it and took ot the key it must have gotten stuck in the "on" postion. The only way to shut the car off is to disconnect the battery and let the clutch out and let it stall out....Good thing i have the battery relocated in my passenger seat area lol, So how would i go about fixing this issue?
trace the wires from the ignition switch to the main fusebox under the dash
disconnect the clip at the main fusebox and disconnect the clip at the ignition switch
ohms out each wire at both ends and then each wire to each other to make sure they arent shorted together somewhere. - there shouldnt be any ohms
between the different wires. if that checks out ok the ignition switch itself may be shorted. unplug the ignition switch wires while the car is running and
see wat happens.
you will need a multimeter
