Default ignition kill switch?

How would I go about putting an ignition kill switch in my car? Kinda like the fuel cut, but so that I don't have someone (or me when I forget) cranking the starter with no fuel. Should I just try to follow the wires from the keys (not sure how easy that'd be) and put a switch in, or does anyone know of an easy place to get at the ignition wires?

thanks

ignition switch is tapping into the 12v wire that
activates the starter nothing to do with the ignition system
itself.

The best way to achive what your trying to do is to run a wire from the ignition coil and ground it (switched of course!)
