Icon6 Is there Such a Thing as "new age" ls vtec?

i was at a shop in my area n this mechanic was trying to convince me into purchasing a acura TL block n type-s head . I thought he was out of his mind till he started to say dat all u wuld have to do is switch the cams around , and the results wuld be new age Ls vtec wasnt to sure wat he ment by dat?
i jus wanted to know if anybody has tryd this frankenstein build or is it jus shop talk??

The TL is a V6.................

but you can use a k24 block (tsx, accord, cr-v) and k20 head to make a frankenstein.

yeah no v6, but yeah with the k series we are basicly making lsvtec with a 2.4 block and a 2.0 head

dude, if you want to magically make 3 cylinders from one side of the block and add another cylinder onto another side, then yes, you could possibly come up with some sort of "new age" vtec. V6 + I4 head simply wont work.

is what a TL block looks like.

is what an inline 4 head looks like (which is the K, H, B series).

therefore, there is no way to have it work. 4 extra valves floating on the side would literally make the car an inline 3.

iv heard of k24 bottom end and a k20 top end

Yeah that would be the k20 frankenstein.I've seen a couple of civics on youtube with the j32 tl motor.
