Default trunk spoiler holes (yes not this again but this one is better!)

yes this again... i did search. all the threads i read just ended up being a dead end or talking about welding/ filling it... or if it was removable TAPE and cutting plugs... which i know don't help against the rain from my experience and few other ppl gave up after reading over 10 threads of the same things... team-integra had same results too.. so totaled 15 threads and wasted over 1 hour

anyway

i've had holes in my trunk just covered by tape for a long time now... over a year i might say...

and the tape surely didn't hold well, i have this wierd surface rust over the entire patch covered by tape LUCKILY removed by goo gone i had laying around the garage

so in anycase... i want to know what product number/ model / ideas to plug the holes with

i DONT want it to be permenant. and i want a sure fire way to do this not some cutting rubber fabrication stuff or cutting plastic plugs etc etc

- must be anti water
- no leaks no rust
- complete seal plug type item

i will be getting a itr spoiler from a friend soon and i may be changing from wingless to itr atleast once a month (sometimes i like wingless sometimes i like itr, as proven by all thread polls asking "ITR OR WINGLESS??? it usually ends up 50/50 and thats how most ppl are)

btw is that black gasket stuff required to put an itr spoiler on? what purpose does it serve? does it keep water away from the bolts/holes? does it cushion the spoiler against the trunk?? my friend ran the spoiler on w/o the black outline stuff for couple months. looked really nasty when he took it off... don't know if it was just him or if it was some crap caused over time for not having those gaskets there

if i need that black outline stuff... what is it called and what can i make it out of if need be

thanks!

so u searched and found 10 threads of the same answers. u expect to get some new info on this subject that cant be found in those already existing threads? doubt it. Ive been through those threads before (not recently) but i do remember someone using hard plastic or rubber plugs from home depot or some kind of store like that. seems like that would be ur best option for switching from itr to wingless from now and then (which i think is a pretty cool idea) since the plugs can be popped out easily. idk how they hold up against rain though...

There are plastic plugs in the Lowe's specialty fastener section (the pull-out drawers) in various sizes. I'm pretty sure Home Depot does not have them. This is what I used back when I took my wing off, but before I got the holes filled in 2 years after.

Cars w/ the OEM LED wing have 6 holes - 4 for the bolts, 1 big one on the right for the wire harness, and 1 medium-size on on the left for the wing guide pin.

I couldn't even begin to remember the sizes, as it's been over 6 years since I ever bought any. But I do recall buying several sizes and just trying to see what would fit.

I also recall having to ream out the wing bolt holes with a drill bit, because the paint on the inside edges of the holes prevented the best-size plug from fitting, and the next size down was way too small.

mine only has 4 bolt holes and thats it covered by tape haha

the holes look perfectly round to me, would a a random bolt + a rubber washer work?

like paint the bolt w/e color then place a rubber washer under it and then a locking bolt thru the bottom of the trunk

how is there only 4 holes? Aftermarket wing with no LED? You're lucky if you're going to run an ITR wing, then. Most people who swap their stock wing w/ ITR have to deal with the 2 larger holes still showing, since ITR wing has no LED.

i do have a gsr actually, previous owner must have done a trunk change

i also have a japan itr trunk laying around too which i think i'll use since it has no wiper or 3rd brake
^above link seems interesting, i'll start reading

uh looks like i would need a rubber washer of some sort still lol, i don't trust plastic plugs as said b4 to prevent leaks and link above agrees also, that is why he reused the antenna seal =\

wonder if such a thing for holes as small as trunk
