Some guy told me that he could hit 10k rpm with his nearly stock h23, the only thing he changed is the cams. Is that even possible and if it is. what cams would allow this?

 

Not possible. He's full of ****. Even if he weren't full of ****, he's not making any real power in that range and it's a matter of time before he destroys it. Cams are only one component out of an entire system of parts that affect power delivery, and they don't determine the fuel cutoff.

Ask him how many rod bearings he has spun due to the stock rod bolts stretching at those speeds . . .

yeah thats bull the only way that is true is if he has a ecu with no rev limit but for sure he wont be making power in that range and two even if he hit 10k a bearing should have spun! i dont even take mine to 8k!
