hey i have a 1990 integra ls ok will i just want to know what could it be the problem with my tranny grinding gearz it mostly grinds reverse and 1 sometimes and 2 when i beat on it . also my clutch is shot like really shot im going to change it in the summer but yea could that be a problem and also i didnt check my tranny fuild but im pretty shore thats very low also

change your trans fluid and change your clutch and you cant be rolling when you put your car in rev put it in 1 then r for better shift, use good parts not ebay stuff later

 

yea the clutch im a going to change it in the summer and the fluid this weekend and i dont be rolling when i put it in rev

 

how you grind rev if the gears are not moving?

 

i dont know his saying that the car cant be rolling when you put it in rev and im saying its not i come to a stop and when trys to put it in reverse it grinds and it been grinding in 2 gear alot now it sucks that it winter time or i would put a clutch in. i hoping changing the fluid will help

 

you can grind reverse if your not moveing...

If you clutch is bad you input shaft is still under a lil bit of torque from the motor...and it will turn the input shaft just enough that the reverse gear will not slide in to the gears on the input shaft...
