Default Quick Z6 Head ?

Does this look like its all there? IDK much about the Z6 head but I want to do the mini me setup and was wondering if this had everything(minus VTEC controller) to complete the job. Will my D16A6 Intake Manifold hook up to it? Thanks.

edit: forgot to add the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ndexURL=0&rd=1

EH, it just depends on how much $$$ you want to spend, at least its been P&P. the Y8 is a better head. Your A6 mani will work, but buy a y8 mani when you get a chance, its worlds better!! Honestly to do it right, you need some other stuff, all in all it looks like a good head. I just bought my adj. FPR and adj cam gear and a VAFC to control VTEC and help fuel maps, you might want to look into some stuff like that.

z6 head and cam sucks no ***** at all. a mpfid d15 would kill that thing. for more ***** do this: mpfid d15 d16a6 head and cam. a6 head has to be milled to rais the compression back to 9.6:1 or higher if you want but would rock

I've been told by Katman that the best sohc vtec setup is using a Z6 block with a Y8 head. You get the Beefiness of the Z6 bottom end with the superior Y8 head. It also raises compression about .2-.4 points. also, keep in mind that the Z6 head is like a mini B16 head, and a Y8 head is like a mini GSR head, in terms of combustion chamber design, etc.

How would the y8 head/z6 block work when boosted? better then just a straight z6 motor?

maybe not, because the compression would be quite high. for boost I'd run a whole z6/y8 engine and stick some low comp pistons in. the Z6/Y8 combo is really best for all motor drag racing and road racing, etc.
