Default Alternator Compatibility-Different Part Numbers

I own a 97' RS and I want to know if the following alternator will fit?
The part numbers for stock alternator between V-Tec and Non-Vtec models, stock, are different.

Also, would you recommend it? It's a rebuilt Nippodenso with 1 year warranty for those that have ebay blocked...this description...

u can correct me if im wrong but, there is a differance between the alternators, one is offset different , bascially the belt will not line up, i think the gsr is the only one that is different

well that's not good...you are saying that the gsr is different offset, but the ls and type-r is the same?

Ok, just for reference purposes...

I changed it today(on a lift) and everything went smooth. This alternator listed as a GSR was not offset with the crank pulley and the clip fit perfectly.

The easiest way to remove the alternator from the engine bay is to remove the driver's side axel AND intermediate shaft. At first I was going to remove the lower alternator bracket, but one bolt is extremely hard to reach from the top or bottom of the car.

I hope this helps someone.
