OK, i just got a 1994 acura integra and it idles 1-2 up and down it said the TPS was bad so i replaced it and it got a little better but still does it when in park but not in drive. i also got spark plugs and wires and didnt help. any advice? I also heard it might be the idle air control valve so if you know were to get a cheap one or if you know or saw someone selling one let me know. I really need help with this its making me mad. Thanks!

 

you do properly calibrate the TPS?

 

I dont know. how would i know if the guy did? I had some guy do it for me but i watched him he put it on and messed with it a little like turned it and stuff. he gets it to stop but then when i come home and turn the car off its like it resets and messes up again

 

mines kinda like that..but when i turn on my heat for a sec and turn it off it goes away, but this is only when its cold for mines like really cold outside

 

Try cleaning out your Idle Air Control Valve. There is a guide here somewhere. Check for vacuum leaks.

He did that and checked for leaks ill bring it to my mechanic and when they tell me whats wrong ill post it for anyone else havin problems. thanks. any more advice to save me money let me know.

I have a 91 ls b18a1 that is doing the same thing I have replaced all of the above iting it ems including the iacv and mines is stilling doing it also, they say u can spray starter fluid or carb cleaner on your vaccum hoses and radiator hoses and if it revs higher while spray then its a vaccum leak

 

same problem, cleaned iacv. it went away

 

I brought it to the auto mechanic and they said it was something like the comp screw needed to be tightened
