I ordered this 3" cat/resonator from Viren (b18bturbo) for only 65 bucks...needless to say, I'm really impressed! You guys that are needing to pick up a high flow cat or test pipe, you can't beat this for the money.

would that work as a cat AND resonator... if so do you have any idea what a 3" would sound like with 2 of those?

it will be kinda of quiet actually.. i just use them as muffler since they small and dont protrude out too far. they have deep sound to them

i wonder what would happen if i just welded that to the end of my downpipe and had no exhaust after that

you actually can do that but it has to be dumped legally after the rear door away from the driver.

VIPERS and MUSTANGS do that becuz its pass the rear door

Vipers get a way with it becuz its behind the door thats legal where it exits. you can run side pipes and be legal as long as it doesnt exit under the drivers compartment.

you can pass emissions only if you have some sort of catalytic convertor instaleld but it does act as good resonator. This is more for the straight pipe users.
