Default pilot IAC Valve

Just found this site, looks like some great info on here.

Hoping someone can help out. On out 03 Pilot a couple of weeks ago the VTM-4 light came on. I did some web surfing and it was suggested to replace the EGR valve. That seemed to do the trick until this morning the same VTM-4 light came back on.

The Pilot the first time around developed a very pronounced miss until I replaced the EGR. This time it has only missed a couple of times.

I had my wife take the Pilot to the dealer, they think it may be the IAC Valve due to the codes. What is that and where is it located? Any pics would be helpful. Are they difficult to replace?

They also mentioned the engine might be carboned up. What does that entail?

Thanks in advance

the IACV is usually located on the intake manifold.
usually a black silenoid looking thing with coolant lines running through it.

The IAC valve is on the bottom of the throttle body. It's pretty common on every Honda for those to go bad. Did they give you the code? P____
