Wiring up my amp/subs
Hey guys...before you tell me to search...I have. Over and over again. And I thought I found the answers to my questions but my setup still isn't working. I found a couple wiring diagrams and DIYs but very important parts were incomplete.
I thought I had everything hooked up correctly, numerous times, but fell short when the amp/subs didn't come on.
I've done audio installs before but never put an amp/sub in with a stock H/U and amp.
Ok...here is what I have:
Obviously I have my amp/subs. A combo box with amp/2 10" subs.
Then I have an LOC (two positive, two negative, and one ground)
RCA Cables
Amp wiring kit
Now,
I know how to run the power wire, and where to hook that up...that's obvious and I know that is correct. But, the remote turn-on has me baffled. I thought it was light blue, but that hasn't worked yet. Can anyone that has personally done a setup clarify that? Also, which black wire do I run the remote turn-on ground wire from? There are several black wires on the back of my H/U. Also, the guy at the place where I purchased the audio stuff said I should hook the LOC into the rear speakers, but that didn't sound right since everyone I have seen do it has put the LOC into the sub wiring. Also, most people don't have the ground wire that runs out of the LOC like mine does. Should I just ground that to the chassis?
Please help! I wanna hear how it sounds since I am in the process of dynamat-ting my whole car.
Thank you in advance.

Simple.....This has worked very very well for me. Your remote wire hook it up to the battery run it to a switch and put under your dash on the driver side there are little holes just push it through there... and the rca's. I bought a set off my buddie that you are able to splice into regular wires.Hook those rca's to the "stock" woofer and you have your own bass **** now through the stock unit. Turn your amp down too cause with me hooken it up like that im using the cars amp mainly to push em. I have 2 alpine type "s" 12's,With a alpine v12 amp i think its 6 or 800 watts turned to zero it hits. One last thing this is how iv cracked my deck lid twice.....Good luck trust me this works...

Guns and Roses - Welcome to the jungle
and
Lil Troy - Wanna be a baller
the only thing is some words get replaced "welcome to the ghetto" and "waana be low baller"
Spend some money and do it right or go home
The entire site including the Audio/video/security forum or just 2006+ Civic?
When I read this 2 songs come to mind.

It may work but it's a straight up jerry rig. Any Job worth doing is worth doing right. I hope you fused that wire you hooked to the battery. The better place to hook up the remote wire would be the acc wire on the ignition.

what you can do is run the remote wire from the amp to the battery and put a switch in the middle and it'll turn on when you press the switch. it works either ways since its getting 12v
To everyone that responding: Thank you. It turns out I had everything hooked up correctly, but one of my ground wires had a slice in it. Found that, replaced the wire, and was good to go. I was getting angry because I knew I had everything right lol.
Answer me this i had a 90's hatchy and the wires were sooo screwd up on it i couldnt find constant. So i ran on frome the battery fused it and it worked perfect. But what would you do in a case like that?
you will proly disagree with me but why not save the money on subs and such and buy somethin to actually make it faster? my stock stereo isnt guna blow the pants off anyone but its enough to get the ladies attention if you crank baby got back on em.
^^X2 lol Got a super good deal on those subs and amp off my buddie so it didnt hurt the bank.
