Hey guys, looking for opinions on the two brands. I'm looking at getting a short hub and quick release combo. Wanted to know your experiences between the two brands. Any play? Quality of the two? ETc etc. thanks in advance.

 

havent used the works bell, i have the NRG slim hub, quick release and wheel combo and it works well.

 

my friends said works bell quick releases are known to last for a long time. NRG is way cheaper than Works bell and my friends already experienced bad stuff about NRG quick releases. Basically you get what you pay for on this one

 

I have Works Bell and I have seen the NRG quick releases, in my opinion Works Bells is a far superior product.

You have to make the final decision yourself, but I figured I would pay the extra money for some peace of mind with these components which actually control your car and they use forged parts (I bought them in Japan) compared to CNC'd.

Also all the pro-drifters and drivers in Japan use them, kinda makes you think doesn't it?

 

Have you considered the Tecniq brand? It's quite pricey as well but i've been using one for 3 years now and i take off my wheel daily when i go to work. no slop, no play no issues at all. made in italy too i believe and it has a cylinder key and 2 safety pins.

worksbell all the way. NRG are all crap. the lock for the hub, you can pick it or drill the sh*tz out of it.

reall cheap mechanism. and plus even when the hub lock is on, you can still turn the hub, which sucks. thieves can still drive off if they got a steady grip!

worksbell is superior! much bigger ball bearings to hold the hub. feels more firm than the nrg crap.

NRGs are like rotas, and works bells are like some real volk te37s
