best could be interpreted a buhgillion different ways. best as in the easiest and most economical would mean you drop a stock replacement engine back in there and be done with it. best could also mean you're loaded and want something ultra renutsculously fast. in which case i would say swap a k20a in there. my guess is your looking for something far less than a k-series, but perhaps more than the stock powerplant?.. you tell me.

depends what you want to do, youll get three hundred different ideas from people...i would go B-series for the cheapest and most reliable gain of horsepower, then if your fealing froggy then theres also the f-series and the h-series it all depends on the money you want to spend, if its your daily driver or not, etc.

SOHC VTEC TURBO

/thread

You can get a d15bvtec and a si/ex tranny for 600$ a p28 100$ and your Turbo(you piece it together) 600~ tune it.(not sure on price) and you wire vtec.

Thats what $1700.00 at the most, and you will be looking at around 200WHP easlie and safe. but you could get a nicer bottom end and get more hp.

And a b Series swap can esaly run you 2k with tranny and ecu and all that junk if you want like b16 with b16 tranny. you get me.

Well all in all it your car. do what you want/like.

Only way to do that is an intake, exhaust, and header. This will only get you 2-5 hp combined.

Pretty much anything other than a rebuild will involve a little wiring. For cost and ease, I would do a LS swap.

145hp out of the box, run a chipped stock ecu, and no need to run Vtec wiring.

FAQ's my friend. There is a big thread in this section. It's at the top.

I am relatively new to Honda's too. Easiest car you will ever work on. Do some research and you will be surprised how easy it is,... especially with an EG.
