I have a jdm B18c that we pulled out from my old yellow 88 crx si before I sold it. I was told when I got the CRX, that it was a 96 jdm B18c. I have a 94 Integra LS right now. I was wondering if you guys can help me. I'm not a pro at the mechanical stuff. I knoe a few stuff but not everything. I want to drop it into my 94 LS but I think the B18c motor is OBD2 and throw my 97 LS Tranny on it. What would be everything I need to make the engine run? Can Anyone help me? Can I use the LS Engine Harness with the motor, and just get an OBD2 to OBD1 converter? Or Do I have to get an OBD2 GSR Harness and get the OBD2 to OBD1 Engine harness?

Its a straight forward swap, just need additional wires for vtec and I believe one for the knock sensor and a 0bd1 ecu like the p72 or chipped p28.

what about the main dizzy harness? dont obd1 cars have two plugs and obd2 have just one? do you just leave one of them hanging? just to clerify
if he's using an OBD1 engine harness then he won't have to worry about anything unplugged... there's no sense in using an obd2 engine harness in his obd1 teg

Check out this site it will tell you everything you need to have to do the swap..

well his motor is an obd2 motor...i dont think you can run obd1 dizzys on obd2 motors...so if im thinking right..using an obd1 harness on an obd2 car he will have an extra dizzy plug hanging..why? cause obd1 dizzys have two plugs while obd2 cars only have one..get it? and since he is running an obd1 ecu wouldnt the ecu throw a CEL? if its not plugged?
take this advise from me... dont use an ls tranny with a gsr motor. its good for highway driving but the longer gears kill it. sell ur ls tranny and spend a few extra hundred and get a gsr. but then again, i have a bad input shaft bearing in my ls. so that gives me a good reason to get a gsr hahaha

you CAN use an OBD1 distributor on ANY LS, the actual motor doesn't make it OBD1 or OBD2... the alternator, injectors, engine harness determines what OBD the swap is.. you can not use a OBD1 engine harness on a 96+ Integra (OBD2) it will not run... the wiring to the ecu is completely different for OBD1 and OBD2

I was wondering if i would need a conversion harness for the ECU? And is it difficult to wire vtec to the LS?
if you haven't already check this out:

Looks like maybe all you need is the vtec subharness but if not they have ecu jumpers and dizzy converter plugs as well.

i guess it depends on how good you are doing your own wiring and how much you wanna spend on it. I'm dropping a 94 gsr (b18c1) into a 90 LS, so that's OBD0 -> OBD1. I gotta think about a lot more -- vtec,ecu,dist,injectors,.. So.. I decided to go w/ the rywire. I'd rather get it right now and not throw codes once I get everything dropped in cuz it's kind-of a b..ch lol
i'll let you know how it goes when it's done.
some ppl i've talked to seem to think it should be easy.

swap is mostly done, few loose ends to tie together but it's driveable. (no power steering yet
)
rywire harness worked great, I think it was worth every penny of the $190 but then again I was doing obd0 -> obd1. I think w/ a 95 LS if it's already obd1 there's less to think about. With the gsr motor you will just have vtec, oil pressure, and IAB if you're using stock manifold.
