R rods and pistons in a gsr?
hey type R owners, i currently spun a bearing on my gsr due to lack of oil! i know i should have checked my oil but like a foolish idiot i didnt!
and will have to rip apart the whole engine most likely and am wondering if R pistons and rods would fit in my b18c1 engine(thats if its salvageable) or would some work have to be done to the block and or head? how much gain would i get w/ this set up? i have a friend of mine who is sellin 4 R rods for 150 total and am wondering if this is a good deal(sounds like it!) and will then buy the pistons and rings and just would like some info on this setup and if it can be done, and if so what mods would have to be done to the engine if n e, and how much of a gain i would get in compression hp etc.
thx in advace

You will want to do the general work such as honing the cylinder walls.
But otherwise make sure you set the bearing clearances properly and its a bolt
in affair.
I would make sure your crank is still in good shape. Generally the journals will go
out of round when a bearing spins
