just cut the cig lighter wire for it and hook it into your fuse box and a ground. simple wiring stuff... i think.

Easiest thing to do is go buy one of those cigarette lighter splitters that splits one cig lighter into two from walmart or somewhere. Cut the plug in end off of that. Ground the one wire and find a 12v source that is only powered when the key is on. find a place to hide this plug in and run the wire from the gps and plug it in. Now your gps is hardwired but you didnt ruin the gps cord and you can hardwire something else at the same time.

midwesta's suggestion is the best. I believe I saw someone do that on s2ki and it turned out very nice and factory looking. And if you get rid of the vehicle some day, you have given the new owner a second 12v port they could use!

I did this... I bought an additional cig lighter adapter from autozone for $6, mounted it above my pedals and hardwired it directly to the fuse box... There are a ton of grounds there, so just pick one to splice into... I used a modifry dash bracket to hold the GPS so I routed the wire under the steering wheel... I took a rounded file/rasp and carved out a tiny section directly under the modifry bracket so that the cord could run through and look clean... put everything back together and gave the cord just enough slack so that i can take the GPS out of the car if needed to another vehicle... Ill take a pic at lunch if youd like...

good luck...

I did that in my civic with a GPS... takes no time at all to wire up.
