To take out the master switch( driver side switch ) there is a screw in the arm rest of the door in the switch pocket. Once the screw is out lift up and pull towards the front of the car. Unplug the the wires from the rear view mirror controls and the window/`s switchs. You can unscrew the switch from the door trim/ door pocket with a small size phillips driver. There is a rubber like guard thats is around the switchs, peel it back but dont rip it. Push on the pin that holds the toggle to the contacts for the relay. The toggle will be able to just lift up now. There is going to be 2 contacts in there, one for up and one for down. You should visually be able to see grime, grit, dust, coke, boogers, whatever the case may be in there. Clean with a quetip and re-asemble.
Sounds like quite a bit, but it is realy easy and has worked EVERY time for me if its the relay thats bad. The window switch/ relay is simple mechanics and just realy need a clean connection for them to work right. But I have heard of some that actually do go bad. But I have never come across one that couldnt be fixed. It is deffinitly worth a shot though. You cant go wrong, atleast try this or......... spend 50 upwards to a BILL on a new one. Thats up to you.
