Default F20C vs F22C Again...

Sorry I have been searching but nothing comes up. It must be since the forums updated. I am currently undergoing a FWD F20/F22 setup with K Series trans. Simple using all K drivetrain and custom mounts.

I am in the process of buying either motor and I cant make my mind up on which motor I want.

You guys are the most knowledgeable. So please enlighten me with your knowledge.

From what I know only is that one revs to 9K and the other to 8K.

F20 will rev to 9, F22 will rev till 8. Just wondering, what are you using to mount the k transmission to the F block? Do you have a custom bell housing adapter?

f20c can rev 1000 rpm higher than the f22c. but f22c feels alot quicker for some old reason especially down low

Gearing and more available torque throughout the powerband.

If your keeping the motor stock and the prices are the same, id stick with the f22. f20's are usually cheaper though.

The F22C rev limit from Honda is artificially low. It can safely run to 8600.

BTW...why would you give up the K-series. There's a lot of great things about the F20/22 in stock form that are superior to the K. But you sound like you are doing a build that would allow you to mod the hell out of a K to put down a good bit more NA hp than anyone has been able to easily get out of the F20/22.
