Default any recommendations on a good paint gun?

hey guys, I've always been interested in painting cars, and finally I decided I would learn the best I can over winter. My plan is to paint mine in the spring, along with maybe a few others. I don't plan on making a living out of it or anything, but its something I've always wanted to learn.

My question is though, what would you guys recommend for a paint gun? I don't have a budget in mind, but I really don't want something that might be 'over kill'. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

i asked the same question a couple days ago, and i got a few responses.. basically anything by Devilbiss will be a great quality gun. you can find them anywhere from $130-500.. its up to you, depending on what you are looking to do.. since you say you wanna learn and do a few cars, nothing serious like me.. i found a gun by them that i am going to buy pretty soon. its called the finishline 3 by Devilbiss..

Finex by Sharpe are good, or try Astro. Both around $100

alrite thanks guys, I'll take a look at those guns. Can anyone help describe the main difference between guns that cost 100, compared to ones that are 500 plus? I just want to know what I'm paying for, and what to look for when buying one.

Better materials, They are made to last longer, Also better atomization so you get a smoother finish without the need to wetsand and buff.
